6. Jazz Musician
Ray Briggs, a professional musician and a professor of jazz studies at Cal State-Long Beach, believes all musicians around the world are joined together by math. He demonstrates how note variations are based on fractions and explains how these variations make music more interesting. He illustrates note values and dotted note values and demonstrates their differences while playing on a piano and sax. Math allows him "to play sweet jazz".
